Notarius is pleased to announce that the Northwest Territories (NT) and Nunavut (NU) Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG) has selected the CertifiO digital signature solution for use by its members. Thanks to this partnership, NAPEG’s members will now be able to use a digital signature that validates their identity in order to securely sign their documents.
“We are thrilled to welcome NAPEG among the professional associations that already trust our digital signature,” said Claude Charpentier, President and CEO of Notarius.
Linda Golding, Chief Executive Officer and Registrar stated “NAPEG Council and staff are pleased to offer this solution to registrants. Notarius has been highly recommended by users, officers and staff from other engineering and geoscience jurisdictions across Canada. We are very happy to provide this service and it is our hope that registrants will feel confident in the safety and security by placing their trust in this agreement between NAPEG and Notarius.”.
A leading expert in electronic signatures, digital signatures, and long-term document reliability since 1998, Notarius is the only Canadian firm that issues trusted signatures recognized by Adobe (Adobe Approved Trust List – AATL) and eIDAS (electronic IDentification Authentication and trust Services). Notarius’ digital signature solutions are currently recognized and used by 40 professional associations across Canada, allowing thousands of professionals to sign and authenticate electronic documents with the same legal value as hand-signed paper documents.
NAPEG is the Northwest Territories (NT) and Nunavut (NU) Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists. NAPEG regulates and licenses engineers and geoscientists who practice their profession in the NT/NU, and for projects within the NT/NU. Legislation is set out in the Acts that govern NAPEG to protect and serve the interests of the Northern Public. NAPEG has been regulating engineers and geoscientists in the NT/NU since 1979. Registrant ability to use digital signatures and seals that can be quickly verified or revoked by NAPEG will provide a layer of protection that is safe, secure and legally reliable. It is expected that registrants will be quick to respond to this opportunity.
